ABOUT US
QT Games is the new kid on the block, but has actually been living in the neighborhood for a very long time, designing games and graphics, but only occasionally stepping out of the office to show off anything. That’s going to be changing, but knowing that the game industry doesn’t favor the little guy, the path ahead is being mapped out carefully. As such, we’re taking our time to “get it right.” We don't want to compromise on quality. Realizing that the success of a product in today’s market requires much more than merely being good or great, but also on marketing, distribution, timing, contacts, etc.

I began designing both the Cosmothea Campaign Setting and a universal roleplaying game simultaneously, so that players could run fantasy, science fiction or superhero Characters as desired. I also began designing board games at that time.
I've taken the Cosmothea rpg through three incarnations while enjoying decades worth of great gaming memories and a wealth of background for the setting itself. Now we are on our 4th Edition of the game (Xanadu, Stargate, Dungeons & Dragons Reloaded 1.0 and then DDR 2.0 which I renamed Cosmothea, marrying together the game and campaign settings into one product. Cosmothea RPG is being rebuilt from the ground up.
The original vision for the game hasn’t changed, but I’m finetuning the game mechanics and expanding them with the goal being to put the Cosmothea roleplaying game on the market under the banner of QT Games. The game industry holds a number of fine artists, writers and game designers who for one reason or another, are still trying to break into the industry (It's a tough nut to crack). |

We're running several PlayByPost games set in the Cosmothea Campaign Setting, so the fun can begin now, and we can playtest as we go. So far, it's worked out very well! Cosmothea rpg is still under heavy development, but we've got a big design team now, and things are looking up!
As for the board games, I have many of them ready to roll, with cool game boards, graphics and streamlined game mechanics, but as the market is a hard one to crack, I'll pick out the cream of the crop and start putting them through a bootcamp of editing, preparing them for publication. From time to time, I'll spotlight one of the games in production, give you a few hints about what's to come - Cool stuff, to be sure! I'm stoked - we've got some high quality board games to unveil and as much as I love designing rpg's, board games are my first love! So, as rough as the waters may get, I think we'll manage to hold our own - once we get rolling. Cracking into the board game market is a gamble, regardless of a board game's quality, but we're here for the long haul, and for me at least, it's fun knowing that we're holding a nice hand! |
